Zapata Apple Snail (Viviparus bermondianus)

The Zapata Apple Snail, a freshwater snail described in 1842, was restricted to the Zapata Peninsula in the Matanzas province of southern Cuba.

The species was apparently not found in recent times and is believed to be extinct.
