Potters Bar Beetle (Aglyptinus agathidioides)
The Pooters Bar Beetle was described in 1930; it is known only from two specimens that had been collected in 1912 near Potters Bar, a town in Hertfordshire, England, Great Britain.
The species reaches a size of only about 0,1 cm; it is ovate in shape and pitch black in color.
The Pooters Bar Beetle has never been recorded since, despite intensive searches, and might indeed be extinct.
