Hawaiian Bollworm (Helicoverpa confusa)

This species was described in 1965.  

The Hawaiian capsule owl was found on the islands of Hawai’i, Lana’i, Maui, Moloka’i and O’ahu and is considered extinct, the reasons for this are not known (to me).
